MIDAS

Set Design and Set Building of a Mad Toy-Maker Studio for Wunderhorse

The best thing about working with Paul is that, after so many projects together, we can genuinely call each other friends.

There’s a trust and understanding between us that makes production design run seamlessly.

For Midas, we started with stills for the album cover and promotional images, then moved on to the official music video. Wunderhorse, a band with a strong sense of style, inspired us with their bold concept—portraying their label as a greedy Midas, turning everything he touched into lifeless gold.

We leaned into a dark, dusty aesthetic to match the eerie storyline of a mad toy maker. This theme gave us the opportunity to work with incredible props, including vintage Japanese automated toys from the '50s and '60s. These details added depth and authenticity, bringing the story to life.

We also met Rohan, an amazing toy collector with the most impressive mechanical toy collection we’ve ever seen. Fun fact: we now own a Jolly Chimp!
